It's the almighty EGG.

For this experiment I Hard Boiled it. Putting it into one of the more unlikely places, my lasagna. Now I know what your thinking, and your right. It sounds crazy...crazy good! I love it. Every time you take a bite the egg seems to take on the flavor of the sauce and any other ingredient cooked with it. Plus the egg flavor seems to get more intense as you cook it.

Now I'm not going to tell you how to make your famous lasagna, because all off us think ours is the best. What I'm going to tell you, is try Hard Boiled Egg. With meet or veggie. Naturally I decided to make Chili. Not just some tomato based Chili, a White Chili.

White Chili starts with a chicken broth base, a pile of ground chicken breast and regular chicken Breast. I also put green chilli's in and sweet white onion. If you use ingredients like this, I don't think you can go wrong. Add the beans you like and any other ingredients you have around the house. As for spices I put in hot sauce, oregano, cilantro and garlic. Fell free to put as much or as little of these as you like. Generally I just add to taste. I used 2cans of beans--2LB. of chicken--2small cans of green chili-- 1whole sweet onion.Put all of it in the crock pot for 5hr..

My guests added cheddar cheese and sour cream. They ate all of it so I know it went over very well.
**** 4 of 5 stars

What is food?

Some might just say that food is just a lot of good ingredients put together to make a great dish. I say it is much more then that.

If you think about it. We find ourselves planing a lot of things around food. Your first date, might be a movie and dinner or if your risk taker, ask them over to your place for a homemade meal. If the dinner is bad you may not make a second date, but if it's good...well use your imagination. Family's find themselves making life changing decisions around the dinner table. All of this is because of food. Yes we have to eat, but it is the people we eat with that help to make food an experience.

It is all of these experiences that keep food in our minds and our harts. I hope to bring you some of my food memories and some good old family recipes.

OneTonPotato

BB's Jazz & Blues Pt. 1

Our main reason for the St. Louis trip was to see a man about some Blues music. That man came with some pretty good food. His name is Guy Forsyth, he played at BB's Jazz club and put on a hell of a show.

Now for what you all have been waiting for: OneTonPotatos review of BB's Jazz & Blues in St. Louis.

Appetizer
Being that I weigh in at an impressive one ton, I had to order an appetizer right when we got there. An order of (Angry Hushpuppies)did not disappoint or make me angry in any way. They were hot with a kick of Jalapeno, but not to hot and had hole kernels of corn cooked right in. The texture was spot on with a nice crispy outside and moist inside.
*** 4 of 5 stars

Gumbo
On to the start of the main course. Already feeling the after effects of my Angry Puppies kickin in, I decided to share this one. Witch was ok, because I only felt like it was OK. Had really no heat and never gave me enough shrimp to fell like a true Gumbo. There was also a overall Herb taste that did not favor me. Presentation looked nice and the cornbread was a nice touch.
** 2 of 5 stars
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_qMt0YyTCYJU/TI-d-ihMKjI/AAAAAAAAAAs/F3nS4aaqtbk/s320/Gumbo1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516801766295611954" />

St. Louis

Just got back from St. Louis and took a lot of pictures. It has come to my attention that there is more out there then just Lost.

I have decided to start a week by week review of our great nations political, sport and just about anything else news. Hoping it can then spark some debate, giving all you raw potato's some salt. Then right onto the grill.

It is a Monday, so I may as well start us out about Last week.

In the world of sports, we had the longest tennis match in history. Wimbledon has been known for some legendary matches. This one just happen to be between the 23rd ranked player and a scrub that should not have made it past the first round. The scrub ended up losing in the end and the right man won, but it only took them eleven hours to decide that. With the seventh match going to 58-60...that is unheard of in the world of tennis. Unfortunately, the winner of that match went on to lose in the next match. Not only did he lose, but lose in one of the shortest matches in Wimbledon history. It only to his opponent just over an hour to beat him. It looks like what the Gods giveith they takith away.

Talk soon,
OneTonPotato

What was that!

My favorite show has let me down...they did this to me to many times. Are you a fan of buying a book or movie that makes you fill in the end. I'm not!

I thought the Lost Finale was great, except for the last 15min.. They gave me some religious answer that had to be so politically correct they could have told us the island was the reason for global warming and the smoke monster was CO2. How stupid do they think we are. We demanded straight-up answers for some very legitimate questions. Who was on the island first? Why did the island need them? Was this all real or a dream of some sort? What was smokey?

All of this just left there in the dust...just so we can cry about the love that all of them had for each other. Not going to buy it...I think they had no good answer for all the hard questions. The writers disappointed me with the end. I love the show as a whole, but just wanted more from the end...

I'm to mad right now to finish...please let me know your thought,
OneTonPotato

New Lost Comment!

I like all that I have read and just can't wait to see what is going to happen. Now, to the most important part of Sunday night. The Menu!

I'm thinking Motza Stix & Nachos...it is six hours long. Maybe, I can get away with eating before the show and then having just a snack...maybe I will run the gauntlet and get a burger & onion rings and a slush...64oz. Prediction time!!

I think the finale will be Jack working to fix Locke, who is somehow broken. They don't mean his legs, he is broken inside. I think that when Jack fixes Locke in the L.A. timeline it is like Jacob fixing the mistake he made on the Island. Pushing his brother into the light was his big mistake and Jack fixing Locke is his redemption. Desmond is there to get close enough to the light so that he can capture the Smoke Monster back in it. I think that Jack and Locke will fight to the end, with Desmond by Jacks side. They might now be the only two that can not die by the light of the island. In L.A. Desmond will struggle to make all of the losties see how there life means something and dose not have to be the way it is. All things can change if you go and change them. We will see the island in danger of collapsing into the sea. I think we might see the light go out and the world begin to end, only to see Jack begin to find a way to get the light to burn again. From the ashes we see Smokies replacement raise his hand and Jack standing in the distance. Most of or Losties will be dead and they will know they have died for a purpose or that they live on in the L.A. timeline.

Who will be alive at the end. Jack as guard of the island. Hurly will be there as Jacks sudo Richard. Ben or Soyer will now be his enemy on the island. Rose and Bernard will be just like the others on the island. Witmores people will be like the Darma. All other Losties will have lost there life in the battle.

I think the last shot will be all our L.A. timeline Losties at the airport about to board a plan, in an attempt to find the island they now remember.

Please let me know what you think the last episode will be,
OneTonPotato

Lost 2!

After looking over the episode for one last time. I have to say that I found it to be pretty good. I think that our two overlords of the island are also a little lost. They might know more then us about the rules of the game. But, they might not know exactly what happens when Smokey gets off that island. Or, even what that light is.

Thinking back I noticed that Jacob gave Richard some wine. Same wine that Mother gave Jacob. I don't know if that is what is keeping Richard from dieing, or if it is Jacobs touch. I think that it might be because he is also a protector of the light. Jacob did say it is now Richards Job to talk to the visitors to the island.

Desmond might be the only one that can turn the wheel and survive such a blast of energy. Maybe he can get close to the light without changing into something terrible.

I want to know what you think the "light" is,
OneTonPotato

Lost!

It is a strange day when Lost actually explains things to you...I still can't say I know anymore then before, but the episode helped a lot.

We find ourselves in the past. How far in the past we go is not told. If Richard came in the 1800s then it has to be at least the 1700s. They don't answer how long the Mother has been there. Is she Mother Nature? I don't know. Is the smoke monster the soul of Jacobs brother? Or, is it the manifestation of his greed and anger toward the rest of the people. The wheel must be some way to release just a small amount of the lights power. Is the island at an old point of the North or South Pole? Is the light the same light we saw at the end of Pulp Fiction?

The game aspect of the show is a lot of fun. We find out that the stones are just game pieces. Was the Mother pitting the boys against each other from the start. She know that was was light the other dark. I like the bodies in the cave explanation, that was cool.

What I think is that we are at the end of the two brothers game. With Jacob out of the why, Smokey now has a window of opportunity to get off the island. He must have to get rid of all the replacements for Jacob. There are a lot of rules in place for them. The kid is the young Jacob running around. The mothers of any children born on the island must have to die, just like the mother of Jacob & Smokey. Some strange curse, left from there mom. The light must be a fallin star or something from space. The "Spark" of life. Jacob is not on the up and up. He is bitter and upset with his path in life. Why would bad things happen if smokey gets off the island? Like he says. He is just a normal guy that is not supposed to be on the island.

Need help,
OneTonPotato

To Sun & Jin!

It is a pleasure to have Lost back on the air. Every day making me even crazier then the last. I know some of you Losties had tears in your eye's.

The passing of Sun and Jin is some thing even the great OneTonPotato did not predict. I have to say that Sun and Jin are still alive in the L.A. timeline. Sun is shot, but not dead. I wanted to believe that Smokey was not so bad. And he still might not be. He may be trying to leave them in the L.A. timeline. I still think that L.A. John Lock is the Smoke Monster. He got off the Island and needs to stay there. If the Island is underwater then he must be off.

Plus I just thought about all there names. Jack is the Shepard that needs to lead his flock & Lock is the Lock to that place they all need to go. They were meant to fight in the end. Now we just need to know the Key. Maybe "Desmond Hume". Find out if anything about that name means-key.

Siead ran off with the bomb. How cool was that. He knew he was at the end of his stay on the island. I wounder if Desmond told him about the L.A. timeline. I hope we find out.

At work so I have to go...
OneTonPotato

Feeling Lost!

I am...We need some kind of big news. Only 4 more episodes left. Were any of you like, Wow they told me that Smokey was Jacks dead dad. That just means that we now know that Claire was talking to Smokey in the cabin way back when.

I don't know what we can take from this episode. Except some interesting stuff from the L.A. Timeline. All of the Others seem to be helping facilitate the meeting of our main characters. Yes, Desmond is doing his thing. But the actual work is being done by a supporting cast. Plus I liked when Jack said, that he thinks that Smokey wants them to leave.

Now can anyone tell me about that kid in the woods. He is kind of creeping me out. He has to be the game master. The only thing that Smokey seem to be afraid of. Smokey is also not to happy about his boat being gone. He has Jack and is going to get the rest.

It also seem to be that Desmond wanted Jack and Smokey to meet. I think he is Smokey, because of what Sun did. She said "it's Him". She knows he is off the Island.

OneTonPotato

Now I'm Lost!

OK, so I was lost the whole time...I like to think I have some good ideas but after every episode...it puts me right back to the drawing board.

After Smokey asked Desmond why he was not scared, I could only think about the nothing from "Never Ending Story". It also needed to feed off the fear of others.

So the "Willy Wonka" factor. There are 6 candidates and there were 6 kids. All brought to the factory or island to replace the leader. There was also a Charlie.

When we find out about the whispers being lost souls that can't leave...that just made no sense to me. Are they the past candidates that did not make it. Maybe they are the souls of the people that Smokey killed. Are our characters working through two time lines waiting for Jacob to be replaced. Someone has to keep time moving. He was weaving time or something in that large statue. If he stopped we have a small amount of time to decide what path to take because he has no control over there fate anymore.

Smokey is like the nothing from "The never ending Story" movie. Yes, it is a struggle between good and evil and yes, we need them to keep moving forward in time. We need to replace Jacob & replace smokey, one can not be without the other.

With that said...I think we will see. One of our favorite male leads, maybe Desmond or Jack. Fate VS. Free Will. All of this has brought me to one idea. What if Smokey is telling the truth, he was just a man. Jacob brought him to the island to play a little game. One that involved free will. Jacob keept bringing the players and smokey keep tring to get them to chose to kill Jacob. His only way to win the game. He also needs a team of players to come to his side. Take Jacobs peices before Jacob can munipulate them in to his replacement. It is still up to free will. The players don't have to go one way or the other. Jacob or Smokey.

It just so happened that these players are finaly figuring out the game. Smokey has a good sence of that. That is why it is imparative he get out now. He needs all the major players to leave with him so no one stays on the island. To continue jacobs hold of everyone around him. It is Jacob that brought them there and Jacob that keeps them there.

Everyones fate lies in the fact that there old self make the right move on the island. Desmond and Whitmore want the same thing. To stay on Island time. Things are better there for them. They seem to get what is going on. The rest now need to see the light and go there way. Stay in LA or on Island time.

OneTonPotato

Love is in the air!

WOW! What can you say after all of that...so the stuff up till the nuclear bomb is all real. What?

They just can't remember...a past life sort of thing. Now some of the LA timeline cast seems to know what is going on. The Island is underwater and people are trying to cover that up. Maybe the Darma people are in LA making sure that none of them remember. I can't help but think when they all remember what the past life is, they will have to go find the island. I don't know if Widmore wants to save the LA timeline or the one where there on the island. He seems to be one of the few that know what is going on in all the time lines.

Is Desmond the only one that can push the two time lines back together. He now sees the light and knows what his role in all this is.

My new ideas are some good ones...or maybe not. The LA timeline is keeping them all close to there love or what can bring them back to the island timeline. Its like a magnetic pull. There is a sense of urgency with smokey to get out of there. I think he knows that if the LA timeline people find out about there old life, he my not be able to get out of there.

Love the story,
OneTonPotato

Back in the day!

So back in the day, I used to be somewhat fit. It seems that old Smokey has a weakness.

I have a feeling that Witmore never liked that Penny was with Desmond, but just put up with him for the reason we just found out tonight. Witmore has plans and I don't know what they are. That seems to be the the next big story line reveal. I still don't know why there so scared of letting Smokey off the island. I don't think he is that bad. The way Witmore told Jin that everything they loved would die, makes me believe that the world will not end if Smokey gets free. Just the world of the people on the island.

Jin knew about the island in his other life. How crazy is that. I guess we all kind of thought that Suns dad was the other group on the island. Jin just seemed kind of low level to know about the island.

Going to take the Spuds to the island, got to go...
OneTonPotato

I got it....they were all born on the island....the baby stuff on the island was the Darma working to birth more candidates for Jacob. Maybe the hole show is there second chance. They all should have died on the plane. Jacob brought them there...giving them the chance at a new life. Smokey is the counter to that, he is there as the dark side of the moon. He sees this game as a wast of time. people should not be saved. He has grow in tired of Jacobs game. He wants to go home. I think he was the original person Jacob saved.

The LA timeline is what they could have if they change. There are pluses and minus is to it. No one is safe from the fate of there old life. It might explain why Hurley is so content with what is going on. He has no interest in the old or new life. He is one of the few OK with death. Kind of like the new Health care Bill. You just keep reading it or watching and you find out all the stuff you never wanted to know. Is Richard just as lost as the rest of us. The title of the show is starting to intrigue me...Lost, think of it. All of our characters are "Lost" needing to find there way in life or "off the Island". Is LA what they are going to find off the Island? Is it Jacobs job to get them there if he can.

I have to say I never wanted to believe that Jacob is bad, but he has me thinking that he is. I think we will soon find out that Jacob brought Smokey to the Island and gave him a job. Much like he gave Richard. Your stomach all full of buttery fat.

So now I have to get all this melted butter fat off of my waist line. He never shows what he is thinking. I'm still not totally on board with this, being all good stuff. He has some sin's to atone for. Smokey must need him for something. He seems to not keep people alive if he can't use them. All of the people he is recruiting are not getting out of there alive. Ben's LA timeline just made me more confused. They were on the island...then his dad is sick. The high school girl...is the same actress and name of his daughter on the Island. It still could be the same Alex...the mother could have got off the Island because she was pregnant and the baby was in danger.

Witmore is on his way back and seems to be on the war path. He is going to mix up some stuff. Come out guns blazing. He has a nuclear sub, for Christ sake. OK, maybe not nuclear but it is still a sub. What can be his reason for going back. Is he sick? Is he in search of the power of Jacob?

Down to what I think. The LA timeline is moving at the same pace of the Island. What they do in LA will affect what is going on on the Island. Jacob and Smokey still have to answer to someone. That blond kid is just a manifestation of who or what is watching them. I heard some thing on the radio about old folklore that talked about Shamans and Genies. Is smokey a Genie bound to his Island? Is Jacob his master? Is the blond boy there watcher...someone who will make shore no one uses there power for bad. In the folklore genies can not make things. They can only manipulate the situation. Or grant a wish. Humans are needed to make something. Now the ones on the Island or the Canadets are something like a Shaman. Able to communicate with the dead.

Just some thoughts,
OneTonPotato

Mac?

Love the look...Love the operating system...Hate the price tag!

Once you see past the large price difference between Mac and Pc, you can move on with your life.Mac has its benefits, a nice graphics card, good operating system to manage memory better, and a look like no other. It used to be that a Mac could run a 600MHz processor like a 1g processor on the Pc. Not so much the case any more. With the introduction of Windows7, Microsoft is even getting better. I can't believe I just said that.

And what about software. We can't forget that. As short as 2years ago there was a better set of design and photography software for the Mac. Again, not so much the case anymore. The commitment of software company's to Mac or Pc have not been as Strong in the last few years. The same trend is happening in the video game industry.

So, I think I have to say goodbye to a long standing commitment to Mac. I guess I will see you on the Flip Side. The writes just put my butt back in the seat. I had high hopes and finally saw a glimpse of what can be.

Lets talk, Sayid is a bad ass. First and foremost. The rest of the crew needs to work up to there potential. What I mean by that is, finally get out of there reality and start working with what they got. Sayid did it and now he knows what side he is on...Straight up evil.

What I found funny is, if you resolve you problem in the LA timeline...you go team Jacob. If you don't resolve it or go evil...you go team Smokey. I seem to like team Smokey better then the rest. At least they don't sit around and wine all day. Action is Smokies game, he needs to get off the island with a quickness.

I can't seem to place Kate...she went with Smokey but did not have a good look on her face about it. She is a large Question Mark. The darkness has not got her yet. Smokey gave her a strange look at the end. One of those looks like, this is going to be bad for me. Maybe she can see through his scam. I don't know. Did you happen to hear the song that Clair was singing. I will have to watch again but think there is something there. Arron might be a crazy part of the whole story, there was a big obsession with kids on the island.I wonder if the Blond kid in the jungle is Arron. I would like for them to bring in the Desmond factor and Wittmore. If they don't do it soon we will all forget about them.

We are right now...a small step forward in our evaluation. The team's are getting set. The games are about to be played and we have a front row seat. Can't wait to find out what is about to happen.

What team would you play on right now...Team Jacob or Team Smokey.
OneTonPotato

Have I lost it!

If a Potato Pops!! out of the ground and no one is around to hear it...dose it make a sound!

I ask myself this because I want to make a noise. Or at least they are acting like it is. This story will end up with a simple ending and we will all feel stupid for not getting it.

There explanation however is taking forever. Pitting two sides against each other. Working the good and bad angle. I still can not tell who is good and bad. You just can't seem to put all the characters on there correct side of the fight. Is Sowyer a good guy still, and he is just scamming the smoke. Has Kate finally gone rouge and stopped following around Jack. Hurley is just being worked over by Jacob. He will do anything some one tells him.

Claire has a good swing. That poor extra actor that no one can remember, didn't like it. She might be the second recruit of the black smoke Locke. There are some questions that will need to answered about what she was doing for the last three years.

My ideas at this point are that there is definitely a redemption factor in the story. The LA timeline seems to show everyone ending up with there opposite, Kate with Claire, Locke with Ben, and Jack with Samurai. They all seem to need the other one to find there way. And in the end they seem to resolve some long standing issue. Jacob knew that Jack would destroy his lighthouse. I think that Jacob has already found his replacement. He just need them to realize it. All the other names on the lighthouse must have been from different times. I have been trying to put a timeline on the island, but can't seem to do it. Maybe you can help.

OneTonPotato

Pursuit Of Happiness!

"People told me slow my road...I'm screaming out f*&! that
Imma do just what I want...lookin’ ahead no turnin’ back
if I fall if I die know I lived it to the fullest
if I fall if I die know I lived and missed some bullets"
-Pursuit Of Happiness Lyrics

Skin is burnt to a crisp, no turnin' back.
OneTonPotato

1, 2 or 3!

Maybe if we all turn and cough we would finally care what is going on in Lost. This show is like finding out bad news every week. I have to ask if anyone out there even seems to care about the characters anymore or do you just want a 20min. explanation of what is going on. I vote for the 20min..

Names on a large rock. Richard not so happy about what is going on. The temple. All distractions from the real end. They could have made the last season 2 episodes.

Yes, I do think the show is still good. It has it's moments but can't keep my attention for the full hour. The timeline in LA is so bad I think I fell asleep when I saw Peg Bundey...I hope I spelled the last name right. By now you know how I feel about the last few episodes. What I need to know is what you feel about them.

Lets hear it, let it all out, cry if you want to...
OneTonPotato

Far From Home!

For some reason I was thinking of new places to move to. I would love to move to Milwaukee. It just seems that I live in a city where no one wants to visit, let alone live.

In defence of Milwaukee I will say we have very good bar's. We can only give in to there will and hope they bring us to the end safe and sound.

Now it seems to be that this was another setup episode. To bring us in to the story even deeper. The problem with doing this is that the best part of the show is the preview of the next episode. Plus they just gave us a few more questions. Like what is happening to Sayid and Jacks sister. Clair was kind of a cool part of the story. We all new it was coming. Still don't know was is going on with the others. Good or Bad...maybe someone will die soon. Not that I promote death. I just think that not all the characters can make it through.

This brings me to a question...who do you think will DIE? And why.

I think Ben, Sawyer, maybe Kate. So this "Week #1" blog is the start of a new series here at the OneTonPotato.

The series will run ounce a week and be about me moving forward with this big idea. It's the first time in a long time that I missed Graphic Design. There has been times in the past where if I was away from the computer for longer then ten minutes I felt like I was having a heat attack.

Right now, it feels the opposite. I can't seen to bring myself to even want to look at my computer. It's not like I don't have ideas. I do. I even have had some success with a new movie poster design. It just seem to feel all up in the air right now.

With that said, today I feel like I need to be on the computer learning about design. Working toward a goal. Maybe I can find that something to set off that spark again.

OneTonPotato

Lost is Lost!

I watched last night holding my breath, only to be suffocated by the same old smelly stuff.

If someone can let me know what new info they offered up. I would love to hear it.

Even though John told us he was the Black Smoke, we still don't no for sure. I never believe anything on Lost till they show it. We also are now even more confused about the timeline of the characters. It would not surprise me if the next place they pop up is in a James Cameron movie. On a strange new 3-D Island. At least in Lost were not treated to a speech about the enviorment for like, seven hours.

Back to Lost..I do like the fact that they are starting to draw some lines in the sand, or with the sand. HaHa. We find out a clear divide between groups. Also that John wants to get the hell off the island. Which means to me that he is trapped on the island. There might also be a clue in the fact that he judged everyone when he came out of the foot statue. He also said Richard was in some chains.

As for Jacob, I think he might actually be dead. It's a good thing that there are a lot of people on the island that can see or talk to dead people. I know we will see more of him.

Overall, the episode had my attention the whole time. It seems to me that the only direction to go from here is up. If they answer one question an episode I will be satisfied. But if they keep asking more then answering...we will be in for one hell of a ride.

Watching with a fork stuck in my side,
OneTonPotato

Tonight! A zone of such awesomeness that you might go blind. Ok, the fun zone really is just my underground bunker.

I like it. But, the young spuds in training have just destroyed any hope of making it the OneTonPotato's own personal survival bunker. I'm not thinking I will need it for a nuclear attack, maybe just time away when the misses is on the attack.

I have a large TV, a personal bath room and even a bed if things get to rough on the surface. Unfortunately I can't keep the young guns from going down there. Paper and paint have taken over my desk. Dippers and wipes in the bathroom. Spuds jumping on the bed. This was going to be my space. My personal "fun zone".

The strange thing that happened is. I don't want to go down there and not trip over some mess the spuds made or not sit down on a funky wet spot on the couch.

All of these things add up to a whole bag of Potato's that I would not want to give up for anything. It makes no sense, has a plot but maybe to many plots and it feels like you know whats happening but you really have no clue. I mean come on, shape shifting black smoke, people that never age and time travel.

Now I know what your thinking, this sounds like your last Saturday night bender with the guys. It's not. It's Lost...the crazy as hell show from J.J. Abrames and two other guys that you could care less about. Lost starts on February 3rd and had so much pull it forced the State of the Union address to be moved back a day. Even Obama could not knock Lost off the top spot.

My theory is right now to have no theory at all. I can't tell you what has happened and really can't tell you what is going to happen. Shure I could say that Jack will end up saving them all or that Lock will actually come back to life and do it. I could say that Ben is a good guy and is working for a higher power that loves to play games with your head. Even go so far as to say there all dead and have daddy issues that need to be resolved before the island will let them go.

All the chatter around the water cooler will only ring partly true. I don't think anyone has got the answer we all need and we will all just have to wait and see what is going to happen...Don't comment any time on February 3rd because i have to watch LOST.

Hot with butter on top,
OneTonPotato

Phone wars!

So what should I do? Being that I have a small spud of my own, I can't even think of not seeing this one in the theaters. Bringing me to my point, a move like Where The Wild Things Are, will get me in that red seat. But, I used to be a potato that went to the movies for everything that came out. I Just can't justify the price, and have to put up with the kids and the smell of my local theater. Only one other movie will get me out this summer and that will be Transformers. The ultra screen will be more expensive but will be the best and only place in town to see this one. So my question to you is, What Movie this summer has got you knocking down your theater door?

OneTonPotato

Back From Outerspace!

Let me tell you that the (black helicopters) are real. Last time I checked there was one on every corner in town. It must be the abnormally high prices that keep people coming back. They are the only store in town that can charge you four dollars for a loaf of bread and for some reason you feel alright about it. Could be the old lady they have working the only register available, they have a second register just sitting there. But, for some reason there is never a person working it. Your in line behind an old lady with fifty coupons and you can't help but wounder when that damn register is going to open. By the way, who cuts coupons for Walgreen's. Also, there are carts at Walgreen's so you can do all your grocery shopping. I might not be the smartest guy in town but you must have a lot of extra cash to buy all your food at Walgreen's. I could buy all natural vegan seaweed from the Antarctic and it still would not cost as much as a jar of Skippy from Walgreen's.

For some reason we all make our weekly trip to the Walgreen's and take it on the chin. All in the name of convenience. Next time your driving along and can't fight that urge for a Nutter Butter, pass the Walgreen's and pay the high price at the gas station instead.

Wrapped in tinfoil with the skin on,
OneTonPotato

Bump in the night

You my not believe this story. But, I assure you it is true.

12:32am-I finally fall asleep only to wake up to a nightmare. In this nightmare, a small creature moved from the right most corner of my room to the left most corner of my room. Then it turns it's head to look at me. I Finally fall back to sleep some time around 1am.

1:32am-I'm woken up to the cries of my daughter from the next room. Being the great father that I am, I try to let her cry it out for the next 10min.

1:42am-Going into her room, I'm greeted with a scared daughter pointing to the upper corner of her room. She is telling me to look up. When I do, I see nothing. I'm left to pick her up and comfort her.

A little time later-She abruptly picks her head up and points to the opposite corner in the room and stairs at something I can't quit see. Turning her head slowly she tells me to look, and turns her head back to look in the corner. At this point I knew that what happened in my dream and her fear are one in the same.

Eventually, she fell back asleep and I was left looking in every corner of my room for a good half hour before I could get back to sleep.

Tonight will not be as interesting.Or, will it?
OneTonPotato

How'z that for a name...

When one is thrust into the wild world of blogging you know you need to arm yourself with a big gun. In the world of blogging the big gun is what we call your "HANDLE" or the name you give yourself. One of my personal fav's is (Unicron) the giant planet eating thing form the Transformers. Maybe, you use your Xbox 360 name (melbatoast44). If your curious about the "44" it was the age I was given by my friends, when I was 19. My mother tells me that baldness is in style right now. Anyway, I took on the challenge of naming my blog and think I nailed it. OneTonPotato. The name just commands respect and sends your mind into a frenzy. You think to yourself; I better read what the OneTonPotato has to say about that. Before, I make my next big move. Whether or not your planning to buy your next company or you just want to know the best restaurant in town. The OneTonPotato will have the advice you need.

The reality is that only my mother and one friend may ever see this blog. But, I still found myself compelled to come up with the best damn name I could. So if you like it twice baked, boiled or mashed, you will love this blog.

Bringing it to you "RAW",

OneTonPotato
